Question:
Has anyone used Aetna/PA and been approved for panniculectomy

I had a lower body lift on 1/24. My surgeon submitted request for approval
for abdomniplasty along with documentation that I had accumulated showing
four months of PCP notes on rashes and Aetna approved me with no problem.
Since surgeon was out of network, Aetna payed 70% of surgeon fee, plus OR
costs and 23 hrs of hospitaliation. I paid the difference.

I live in PA and Aetna approved me based on "a weight loss > 100
pounds and a panni that hangs to or below the pubic bone". I also
"upgraded" to an entire LBL by paying the difference.
