I never went that route. I get most of my protein from tuna. My baby won't
even eat that, lol. Check the label though and see what the protein content
is.

It's fine to use baby food. if you can stomach it! There is a reason
babies spit it out. Bleech!

You can use it, some people do, but many post-ops can't stomach the taste.
Also, there is usually alot of sugar in baby food, so make sure to check
the labels or you will probably dump and feel sick. I just did alot of
protein drinks, NSA carnation instant breakfast, soups, eggs, soft cheeses,
etc. Goodluck to you

I tried babyfood ONCE. I can't believe we feed that crap to our babies!
If you are just easing into soft foods, try steamed fish, cooked shrimp,
crab cakes, tunafish salad, ground beef in tomato sauce, hot dogs, any type
of cooked egg, and of course, any type of cheese.

I get stage 2 baby food meats... add salt and pepper to them and they
aren't bad. Its one of the things i could keep down the first few weeks.
I'm now 8 weeks out and can eat a little more variety of foods.

Hi Gene
I'm 4 weeks post op and have been eating stage 2 baby food meats for a
couple of weeks now. I just add a little salt. Most have 8 grams of
protein in 2 1/2 oz so I feel like it's a good source of protein for such a
small amt of food. My Dr doesn't really approve of it because he wants his
patients to eat the same foods as their family. Right now,I don't like the
protein powders but I'm am experimenting with them for better taste. I'd
rather eat baby food than not get enough protein in daily.
