Question:
Anyone super morbidly obese drink carbonated drinks and still...
Reach goal? I am 2 months post op, and have been drinking some diet ginger ale recently. I put it in a glass with lots of ice and let it sit for a while. I know there is debate on this issue. I'm just wondering has anyone who started out very large (around 400) drank this kind of drink and made it to goal. I've read all the other posts about people who drink or don't drink carbonated beverages. Oh, not that it matters but i burp rather easily. :-) Thanks, Amber — Amber F. (posted on March 3, 2003)

I started out at 420 and so far in one year I have lost 200lbs. I drink
very little pop but have been drinking large amounts of carbonated fruit
flavor water from Walmart. I started drinking it about 6 months postop. It
has good flavor and my surgeon says that it qualifies as water as there are
no calories, Sodium, caffene or sugar. I am about 20 lbs from goal. I hope
this helps you, Good Luck.
