Question:
Jerky wouldn't pass through my stomach. Any one else?
I am 10 weeks post op. I have been eating jerky off and on for about 2 weeks. On Friday morning, I ate a piece and it felt like it hadn't passed through, was just sitting there. Threw up but no relief. Later on in the afternoon, I through up again, and it felt like it was dislodged. Now it feels like my pouch is sore, but I can eat. Anyone have this problem? — packwrap (posted on March 2, 2003)

I got a few things stuck early on to. You say that it feels like it
dislodged, so it probably isn't stuck anymore. Your pouch probably hurts
because of the throwing up. I was sick a couple of weeks ago with the flu
and thre up twice, my pouch was sore for about a day afterwards.

I have never been able to eat jerky. I often wondered how others have
eaten jerky after WLS. Not me! I cannot chew it enough even if I try and
try. It's not worth it to me!
