Question:
What can I expect?
I am 2 yrs postop. I have lost 160 lbs and still have another 30 to 40lbs to loose. I just found out yesterday that I have been approved to have my apron removed. My PS says I should loose another 20lbs after it is removed. I am very excited and am looking forward to the end result. I was just wondering of others out there that have had this done what to expect as far as healing time, pain level and another information that I need to know. Thanks in advance. Becky — Rebecca F. I had a tummy tuck in 1985, after losing 130 on my own. The dr did a
straight across cut from hip bone to hip bone. Now days they do a vertical,
then horizontal cut. I think its called an anchor cut. Mine was more
painful than my open RNY and I had trouble standing up straight for 3
weeks. The good news is even though I gained back all the weight plus about
50 more, my tummy is still almost flat. The weight shifted to my hips and
butt. I have lost 70 with that much still to go and I will need a butt tuck
and saddle bag removal when I am done.

Hi Becky, I recently joined a very informative group at Yahoo! for WLS
post-ops who have had or are contemplating plastic surgery. Here's the
link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ossg-plasticsurgery/ - Anna LAP RNY
