Question:
Are AdvantEDGE Carb Control shakes ok to use?

I love the taste, well maybe thats stretching it a bit. But I CAN drink them. The have 15 gm of protein in 11 oz , 110 cal, 4 fats, 2 carbs and I could drink 2 if I have to. I have not been able to stomach any other thing that I have tried. Please tell me they are good for me.    — Sugarbaker2001 (posted on January 14, 2003)

I used them early on. They don't have as much protein as some shakes, but 40 grams of protein doesn't do you a bit of good sitting in your refrigerator! If you can tolerate them I think they work just fine. I mixed mine with a little bit of skim milk because they seemed a little thin to me. If you're a coffee drinker, you might also try CarbSolutions cappuccino flavor (premixed). I also liked those mixed with a little milk to thin them down.

Hi, I am pre-op but yesterday my surgeon recommended these drinks to me as an alternative to the super expensive ones his office sells. They are the same. Excellant choice. I bought the choclate and put one fourth banana and one TBLS. peanut butter in it. Also a spoon of light cool whip. It is yummy. My surgery is Jan. 30th so I hope it still tastes good to me afterwards.

The shakes are fine to use, and right now, the only ones that I can stomach, too. Also, the protein bars (same brand) are great! I eat one every morning for breakfast, they are small, 2.12 oz, not too dense, and fairly tasty. Each bar contains 25-26 g of protein. I don't like eggs, and don't want to eat lunch and dinner for breakfast, so this is an excellent solution for me. Best of luck to you! Leslie 11/20/02 -43lbs!!!!!

Hi, I used these a lot early on. Now I prefer making my own with powders. However, I still keep some handy and use them when I am in a big hurry in the morning. I also keep a couple in my desk at work for "emergencies." They are fine. The nutritionist agrees. GNC in my area often has them on sale and I stock up then. Good luck
