Question:
almost 6 weeks post op...is there a limit to calories, fat grams, carborhydrates,
surgers etc....i mean if we can barely eat but a few bites should any of this be a concern? what should i avoid? — Deanna Wise (posted on January 26, 2002)

At 7 wks post op, I can't eat much of anything but a little bit of
everything. I get in my protien mostly by protien shakes so I can make
sure I get my other nutrition... You of course still need to watch your
sugars, carbs and fat because they can still hinder your
"optimal" weight loss is what I was told... I think my hardest
thing to remember is that most fat grams and things are based on servings
that I don't even come near!

My dietician never said a word to me about calories. She did want me to
keep a watch on fat, sugar, and protein... even made me study various
nutritional labels and tested me over them, lol! She wanted me to stay
below 10% fat, below 2G of sugar, and get in as much protein as I could.
She wanted me to have at LEAST 69G of protein daily. Good Luck!
