When I need to get off the carbs I go back to all shakes and cottage cheese with one protein bar a day if I must. I usually must. In three days I am over the carb thing and feeling much better as well as losing a pound or two. Three days with no carbs is not dangerous for anyone.

Don't worry about the carbs, I started detox yesterday, to get back on track. also to get out of this plateau. it usually works. this isn't the first time I have done this. and don't worry about the carbs. I keep my carbs intake very very low if any. I always focus on my proteins and have good wt loss from doing it this way. I have loss 171 lbs in 12 months. and I feel wonderful, and just like you I'm to close to my goal to turn back now LOL I'm sure I will get to it. but I just want to get there sooner than later. take care and do what you need to do to get to your goal. take care**Hugs**

When I was on Atkins I stayed on the induction phase for over 4 months which is 20 grams of carbs a day or less and I did fine, I even had more energy than I have ever had.

Though I cannot attest to this first hand, many, many post-ops kick the carb habit by going back to all protein for a few days (shakes and food, but all protein). Apparently it cuts/eliminates the cravings and puts you back on track, usually in just about 3 days.
