Question:
About mustard?
I will be one year post op in about two weeks. Lately, I like to have tuna salad with saltines and mustard. But my tummy feels a little funny for a while after eating the mustard. Does anyone know any specifics about mustard and our new tummy? Does it make anybody else feel funny? I know I've heard through the years that mustard has a lot of junk in it. Well just curious, because I really like my tuna with crackers and mustard! (rny on 11/7/02, down 134lbs. I weigh 108 lbs. below goal!) Jessica — Jessica Hernandez (posted on October 23, 2003)

have you only recently started eating mustard? I am 8 months out and have
eaten it since starting on solid foods. Haven't had any problems with it.
Once when I was on WW and eating lots of tuna, I ended up in the hospital
and the doc said it was because of eating so much tuna. Over a period of
time, it gave me gastirits.

I am almost a year and 5 months out and if I eat to much tuna it gives me a
belly ache. I could not even eat it at all in the start of my journey
because it would make me really sick.

I am almost two years post-op and have been eating mustard since I was
about 6 weeks out. I have no problems with it and I even eat jalapeno
mustard.

I love mustard, but wondered if there were other low carb/sf condiments?
I'm 6 weeks out.

Might be the vinegar in the mustard.

I eat mustard, Catsup, barbecue sauce and Heinz 57. I know all but the
mustard have sugar but I don't eat enough for it to be a problem and I can
not eat chicken if it's not coated in something. I have been eating these
condiments for almost two years and have done extremely well.
