Drinking with meals causes stretching in your new pouch and also washes
your food out so that you are NOT absorbing all the nutrients and protein
in the food that you need.

It allows the food to stay in your pouch longer so you get the full signal
and also feel full longer. If the food is washed through right away you
may likely be hungry a lot sooner. You get used to it pretty quickly, at
least I did.

hi there ..i have slightly different answer as well..what the dietician
told me is that i shouldnt drink right before , during or after my meal
because.. your pouch is only so big..and will hold only so much.. you can
fill it with liquid(only stays for a short bit..not very filling or good
for nutrients).. you can fill it with food(the best for staying full the
longest.. also for getting the most nutrients possible).. or you can fill
it with food and fluid(which means not so many nutrients..not cause they
are washing away..but because..they are not there..the liquid is there
instead..lol).. also.. when you are full from your meal..and take a
drink..you are making yourself overfull..which can cause pain..alot of it..
i told my dietician that i dont drink with meals..but i do have a sip at
the end of the meal to basically rinse my mouth..its kind of my signal to
myself that the meal is over.. then i move my glass and my plate away.. she
says that is fine..as long as i dont make myself sick.. hope this helps
you..good luck.. huggles n bb..
