I am also 6 months post-op. I have lost 65#, but have not lost any in a month. I am also frustrated. Are you hungry often? Eat slowly and don't drink with your meal. I guess stick to the basics. You don't sound like you are eating too much. Are you exercising? Do you want to e-mail me anad we can chat more. I'd love to have a friend. Hope this helps.

Hi! I'm 5 months out and down about 80 something, but I have only lost a pound in the last month, so I too, think I'm doing something wrong. Some days I realize I've only eaten once that day, and other days I feel like I eat all day. I sometimes eat avery small meal (even by our standards) and find myself hungry an hour later then I feel like I'm eating like a pig (again, by our standards) I guess it's just trial and error, but I look forward to seeing what everyone else says

I'm just over 5 months post op and I eat 5-6 times a day. When I don't I can tell and then I eat the wrong foods because I'm hungry. I too can eat more on some days than on others. I feel as long as I'm eating healthy foods, I'm going to give my body what it needs, if it means eating more, but stopping once I feel that full sensation. I'm happy to say that I've lost 94 pounds by eating all high protein foods and exercising 6 days a week. Best Wishes, Heather 3/12/03 280/196/130

Some questions: What kinds of foods arey ou eating? Are you responding to "head hunger" or "body hunger"? Are you following the basic rules? Protein first, then fruits and veggies and ONLY if you have room carbs is the rule I got from my surgeon. Usually I never have room for the carbs. My surgeon's office also told me that if you up your proteins when you're hungry, it takes more effort from your body to break that down and helps with hunger.
