Question:
Is there a FREE search on the web where we can check the Doc's record?

When I was pre-op... I had a website where you can enter the doctor's information and you can search a database to see if they have had any malpractice issues or license problems. I cant remember what that site is and I cant fint it on this LIBRARY. Can anyone email it to me please?    — Valerie H. (posted on July 3, 2003)

I don't know about California, but in NY you can look their records up on the websites for the state medical society and the dept of health, I believe.

When you go to the "find a doc" option for your state, there is a link to the state gov. site that keeps track of this.

try www.questionabledoctors.org this will list whether a doctor has been sanctioned by a state, I would suggest that you perform a national search.
