Question:
Can low fat ricotta cheese be substituted for low fat cottage cheese?

Ricotta has twice the calories (300+ versus 160ish) and carbs (12 versus 6) per cup but the protein (28g) is the same per cup. That said I would use ricotta in cooking any day over cottage cheese. It is still very low in carbs and I am sure you would not be eating a cup of either one. I prefer it in cooking 100%.
