Question:
Anyone have surgery w/ 1 ins. and then have plastic surg w/ another?
I just hit my 7 mo. mark last week and am down 146 lbs, which is great-but I am just worried about plastic surgery. My current job stinks and I am considering finding another one but am curious if it matters when I do go ahead and try to get approved for tt or arms, etc. Any advice? — Valerie M. I had my original surgery with one insurance carrier and got married and
changed insurance... my new insurance is covering the TT.

It shouldn't matter if you change insurance companies. However, highly
doubtful any insurance carrier will pay for your arms. You'll probably
just be able to get the tummy tuck paid for. You'd have to show massive
skin infections for your arms to be paid for. Most people don't have that
unless they lose more then 200 pounds and even then some people still don't
have the infections.

I had a different insurance for my TT and hernia repair. As long as it is
medically necessary they should pay for it. Good luck.

I had my Open RNY on November 29, 2001 and on December 1, 2001, my company
changed insurance companies. I, of course, was still hospitalized and I
just got word this week that the new insurance company finally paid the
last three days in the hospital. I am planning on having a hernia repair
and tummy tuck in November with this insurance company. Good luck.
