Question:
I am 4 mths post op and i can eat anything i want....
I am eating anything i want now,. Bread is the only thing i cant quite handle. But everything goes down good without pain, even sweets! What do i do now? how do i stop this? Do i need to go see a nutristionist? i really truely dont know how to eat right. I have lost 100 lbs and i DO NOT want to gain it back im loving this. My weight loss has slowed to 5 lbs a week, is there anything i can do to speed this up i have 90 lbs to go! Please someone help! — Amanda G. (posted on July 8, 2002)

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you, but I do have sympathy. I am
not quite 2 months out and I can eat anything I want as well (just not much
of it). I am trying very hard to eat the "right" things and just
have the not-so-good every now and then, but I often wish those things made
me sick so I couldn't have them at all.

Jeesh! You've lost a 100 pounds in 4 months and are continuing to lose 5
pounds a week (20 lbs a month), and you're complaining?! At this rate,
you'll have lost 200 lbs in less than 8 months. Give yourself a break and
pat yourself on the back.

I am 4 months post-op, as well. I don't know if I can eat everything I
want because I am still WAY TOO cautious to try everything. I am a
"lightweight" and last month, I only lost 8 lbs., but I'm
thankful for every ounce. You sound like you are moving right along. I
think you should, indeed, see a nutritionist just to get on track. You'll
be happy you did in the long run.
