Question:
Does anyone have a problem swallowing B12 tablets? I got the Sam's Club brand and am
hoping to use these instead of shots. — Julie M. (posted on May 13, 2002)

Hi, just wanted to let you know that you dont "swallow" B12
pills. The only b12 we absorb is either shots or sublingual, meaning they
dissolve under the tongue. I personally get a b12 shot once a month and I
feel great after my shot, plus it gives me a chance to ask my PCP any
questions I might have and get weighed! Good deal for $10 copay! Good luck!

I have to agree with Donna, you shouldn't be taking pills as your source
for b12. You can take the sublingual(under the tongue dissolving liquid
stuff) or shots. I give myself my b12 shots. It's no biggie. My surgeon
offered both options, shots or sublinguals, but I have to take enough pills
and potions so I opted for the shot. Good luck

Hi there! The reason you are hearing about sublingual or shots is because
we don't absorb B-12 any other way, unfortunately! I hope you have your
receipt so you can return that to Sam's Club! You can get sublingual B-12
at GNC...I take one every 3 days, it dissolves under the tongue and tastes
like cherry! Not bad at all! Good luck to you!

I just bought sublingual B12 vitamins at GNC. They are $16.00 for a 60 day
supply and they were also having a buy one get one 50% off sale. I opted
for the cherry flavor and they are great. They dissolve in less than 5
minutes.
