Question:
I am looking for a high protein pancake
I was reading through the library and found a post where someone was wondering about eating pancakes at 3 weeks out. one of the answers was eat a high protein one and the poster said to go to Carbsmart.com to find a recipe where the pancake has 22 grams of protein. well i went there and didnt find that one but did find "atkins pancakes for one" it says it has 41 grams of protein in this one pancake. I tried the recipe and it rocks! I love it but am wondering if it really can have this much protein per pancake. the recipe only makes one cake. Here is the recipe. 1/4 c. atkins bake mix, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon heay cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt, i packet of splenda, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1/4 c teaspoom cinnnamon, 1/2 teaspoon maple extract. Can someone help me figure out if this actually has 41 grams of protein? the facts are 415 calories, 25 g fat, 41 g protein, 8 carbs, 2 grams of fiber. thanks. — C. L. (posted on April 28, 2002)

If the Atkins bake mix is from the Dr. Atkins who wrote the book on high
protein, low carb diets, it probably does have that much protein. Where do
you get the bake mix? I'd like to try the pancakes. I wonder what else
you could make with it.

Gar - I believe GNC carries most Dr. Atkins' products, including the baking
mix, or you could try the website...www.atkinscenter.com Another option
may be www.lowcarbmall.com Good Luck - Anna

If you go to www.atkinscenter.com you can get all sorts of recipes, plus
you can order there catalog and order pre made pancake mix. It's really
good if you put butter and splenda on it. I've also heard they have a pre
made brownie mix that rocks.
Hope this helps
theres also www.lowcarbfitters.com
