Question:
Can someone in ONTARIO answer this ?
Hey guys, I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and we don't have a GNC here, but we do have a few nutritional stores. Can anyone tell me what kind of protein shake mix I should buy, that you know would probably be found in any nutritional establishment. Thanks in advance:) — Jennifer M. (posted on December 31, 2001)

Happy New Year! Go to www.prosourceonline.com
See what all they have to offer. I have been using Cytoplex shakes, but am
burnt out on them now. But I do know they have the best prices I've found
yet, especially if you buy two cases at a time.

Hi! I can relate as I live in Owen Sound, Ontario and found it hard to
know where and what to get so here is my list. I hope you find it
helpful.
Iron: Gel cap form (easier to digest) Palafer Casules, Pharma Plus or
Shoppers. You must ask the pharmsist for it (behind the counter). I pill
a day has 1000 mg of elemental iron.
Multivitamin/Mineral Supplement: Centrum has a fabulous, good tasting NEW
chewable heavy duty vitamin/mineral. Again, same pharmacies.
Protien Powder. Made by MRM. Called Whey Pumped. All natural, no
sweeteners and no artifical flavours. Not filled with a bunch of other
junk either (sometimes less is more). Strictly protien powder. I like the
dutch chocolate. I mix it every am. with a 1/2 glass of water and it is
excellent. Any protien powder does take time to get used to so start with
1/2 of serving and work your way up. Really, most flavoured protein
powders that you can buy at your own local stores are probably fine, just
some taste better than others and some have more junk in them than others.
My advice is to go local and read the ingredients. Here's what mine has:
99 Calories per serving, 9 of those from Fat
Total Fat: 1 g.
Choleserol: 28 mg.
Sodium: 4 mg
Potassium: 173 mg
Total Carbs: 6 g
Protein: 18 g
This is in one serving
Mine can be found at a website called www.metabolicresponse.com. Call the
nutritional stores in your area to see if they sell it. I buy it privately
from someone here who orders it for me.
Good Luck
