Question:
I'm wondering if I'm eating too much?

so I'm going to tell you what I've eaten so far today. This morning for breakfast I ate a piece of toast with cream cheese on it. Not the best choice. Around 930-10:00 I snacked on a cup of red grapes. At 11:45 I ate a bag of Baked Cheese nips air crisps. 7grams of fat and 24 grams of carbs. not a great choice either. following that I began eating my yummy Designer Whey Chocolate expresso protein bar. By the point I have already cunsumed half of my reccomended water intake for the day. I will go home and eat dinner which wiil consist of 3-4 ounces of meat, and probably some sort of veggie. I will more than likely later that evening have some sort of snack, an apple, string cheese... Is this too much???? Oh by the way I'm 7.5 months post op LAP RNY. I would love to hear from you guys... That doesn't sound like a lot for someone 7.5 mos out. Why not try this for a week. Start the day out with some sort of protein (cheese, meat, protein shake). See what that does to your appetite throughout the day. What you describe above is my idea of a high carb diet. Now that we are all post and able to watch what we're eating, I think we are also able to pay attention to how what we eat makes us feel. I found out that starting the day with carbs (cereal, toast etc), makes me hungrier earlier. So I now start the day with 30 grams of protein (via supplement), then have a 2 oz breakfast (this morning it was leftover chicken with veggies in sauce). I don't get the hunger until lunchtime. Good luck and God bless!

I too wonder sometimes if I am eating too much, I try to eat soemthing with Protein in the morning and it keeps me from being so hungry, I like the Carb Solutions protein bars, then if I must snack I try to eat popcorn or a dinner salad, I just feel better if I can crunch on something! I work shift work so sometimes it is tricky especially at night I will want to eat more, so sometimes when I think that I am hungry I will sip some hot tea, coffee, or crystal light and that will satisfy me. I am only about three months post op, but I am trying to keep myself curbed from getting back into my old eating patterns, I hope I was helpful.
