Question:
Question about Protein Drink?
Hey guys, my sister is a real health buff, and I just read the ingredients on one of her health drinks that I always see her with. It's called " ISOPURE " - it has 160 calories, 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 sugars, and 40 grams of " Ion Exchange Whey Protein ". Is this kind of protein okay for me after surgery, I don't really have a clue.!?!? Cause overall this sounds like a really good drink to have handy. Thanks in advance for any replies. :) — Jennifer M. (posted on November 18, 2001)

Your sister knows what she is doing... my husband has always been a body
builder type and he has been drinking both the clear 'koolaide tyle'
Isopure and the Zero Carb Isopure Protein Powder for a couple of years. In
my opinion this is the best tasting protein on the market. I also drink the
clear type... the flavors are great and there are no carbs or sugar. I use
the vanilla powder because I like to mix a little fruit with it... I am not
a chocolate person. Ask sis what protein bars she buys too! Just make sure
it has very low carbs... no more than 5 or 6 max! It sounds as if she is a
carb watcher too! Good luck with your surgery.

I love Isopure! I am preparing for surgery and am already hooked on the
stuff. My blood was a bit weak - found in pre-op testing - so I am
drinking a non-fat milk/Isopure cocktail daily. Good stuff for building
you up, and I am already feeling more energetic. This will be my drink of
choice after surgery also ... I have purchased three 3.3 lb. bottles of the
powdered form.

Jennifer; I've been drinking Ultimate Nutrition Prostar Whey from GNC.
It has 114 calories, 22g of protein and no sugar. It is DELICIOUS, mixes
easily and has NO AFTERTASTE!
I've had no bad reactions to it and my Dr. has no complaints. It fills me
up and as I'm a bit of a chocolate freak, I can drink it daily. Hope some
of this helps.
