Question:
I fainted yesterday!!!!!

I had my LAB RNY 4/16/01. For the past couple of months I've been experiencing these weird dizzy spells. I get light headed and have to hold onto something so I don't fall over. This for some reason only happens when I'm home. I told the doc about this maybe 2 months ago, he didn't seem to worry, and said that it could possibly be that my blood pressure is dropping or elevating when I stand up. Well Yesteday I was walking into my kitchen, I when the same episode occured, I grabbed onto the sink to brace myself. The next thing I know I am lying on my back on the kitchen floor!!! I layed there for a moment, feeling unconfortable thinking I was in bed or something. When I looked around and realized I was lying on my kitchen floor. That scared the crap out of me!!! I would like to know, has anyone experienced anything even remotely like this? Plese help.    — Kristina P. (posted on September 10, 2001)

Have your potassim level checked and check it quick! If that is your problem you "could" have a heart attack. I've had two emergency room visits in August and had to have potassim by IV. You may have something else going on, but if it is low potassium it IS VERY DANGEROUS. DON"T WAIT!
