I don't use anything but calcium citrate either, so I won't be trying
these. Please check out my profile (posted around April 2003) for info on
research that is pointing to the importance of using only calcium citrate
as a post-op.

My nutritionist recommended them. She said that the difference in
absorption between calcium citrate and carbonate were not that big a deal.

My doctor said I could take Ultra Tums. I chew 1 a day. They come in a
variety of flavors.

I don't use calcium carbonate because (1) there's a question whether it's
properly absorbed by normal people, let alone gastric bypass patients, and
(2) it can be a contributing cause to kidney stones. Use calcium citrate.
