Question:
I know that there are people who use the vita4life protein and vitamins.

Could you please say how you like them, the texture etc etc. They are costly so i dont want to pay 68 dollars on a box if I dont think I will use them. They appear to be convenient and would really be handy for work. Does anyone like them not mixed in anything? Responses are greatly appreciated. Also any good small portion recipes for a post op?    — [Anonymous] (posted on October 19, 2001)

I use (or shall I say used)vita4life capsules. I had to open them and mix them into my protein drink because I couldn't swallow them whole. Btw, I'm distal RNY. My labs came back good, according to my doc. But I am switching over to another vitamin because the vita4life just doesn't agree with me anymore. I think it would be a good idea if you tried a sample of them, tablet as well as capsule, to see if you can tolerate them. I think they do sell sample packs. When I say "if you can tolerate them", I don't mean that they are harsh or anything. They are really good vitamins. It's just an individual thing, that some people's bodies might have a reaction or the vitamin won't sit well with them or something like that. One more thing, vita4life's contact person, Greg Race is REALLY nice and helpful. If you ever have a problem, you can e-mail him and he responds quickly.

The vitamins are great and I like the fact they come 12 to a pack. I keep a couple of packs in my desk a pack in my pocketbook. The potein drink is terrible I bought it tasted it and returned it--they were nice and gave me a full refund. One container of vitamins lasts about 3 months if you take 4 a day.

I bought the honey flavored and the orange creamsicle flavored protein supplement. I had to send them back for a refund. I couldn't tolerate the taste of either one-it was somewhat bitter and medicinal. We all have different tastes!
