Question:
Has anyone had a tummy tuck that has been covered by Medicare?

What I was told by my doctors is that it is becomming increasingly more possible to get approval for medical coverage for the post op plastic surgery if it is deemed a medical necessity. In my case, I may have to have the excess skin removed because it seems to be causing some pretty bad back problems. He said that documentation is the key. I would suggest you talk to you doctor and run that by them. He said things like infections, rashes, joint pain, things like that could qualify as a medical neccessity. Just an idea! Good Luck!
