Question:
Help - beef is stuck in my pouch!!!!!
I made london broil for my son and it smelled so good that I took the very end (a small piece) and popped it into my mouth. Unfortunately it was a little tough and before I could even think about it ir stop myself, I swallowed it. Now it is stuck there like a lump. It won't come up and it won't allow anything else to come in. I tried the old "swallow meat tenderizer" trick, but it came up. I am in agony. I need help. What can I do???? — Lenore S. OUCH!! I know how you feel I had a pill get stuck early post op. Would a
cup of very warm tea if you swollowed hard and fast break it loose? I dont
know if this would make you dump or not..or rather it would come back up or
cause you further pain. Call your doc, and see what they suggest, you may
have to have an endoscope done to fish it out. Good luck

This happened to me just last week and I took a digestive enzyme and I was
better in minutes. The enzymes are an excellent supplement for us to take
also because it helps us break down our foods better and we will absorb
more of the nutrients. 264/130 25 pounds below goal!

Lenore
Go to your nearest health food store and ask for Papaya Enzyme. This will
break down most anything in there. If you don't have a store like this in
a reasonable distance.perhaps the grocer has fresh papaya in the produce
section. I know you may not want the carbs in the fruit.....but if you
don't get this cleared out you won't be getting anyting in. And we all
know this is not going to be a good situation.
Get the papaya enzyme or a papaya.and then get back on track. Best Wishes

You poor thing! I'm close to 2 years out and this happened to me just last
week. Used to be the Queen of Stuck Food but hasn't happened for at least
6 months. Anyway, the hot tea (herbal with a little bit of Splenda was my
choice) trick has never failed me. Sip slowly and, for me anyway, after 20
minutes it either came up or passed through and I didn't much care which
route it took because the pain was gone! I was very careful about chewing
but meat was not my friend for the first year - it rarely happens to me
anymore but I still don't eat much chicken or beef. Hope you feel better
very soon! Bette
