I went back to work in two weeks but could have gone back in one week.
Things went very smoothly for me. Everyone is different and it also depends
on what type of work you do.

Depend on WHAT type and how your surgery is done. Open RNY norm is up to 6
weeks. Lap RNY with a office job maybe 4. LapBand 1 week.

I probably could have gone back in 2 weeks with LAP RNY, but I had lots of
nausea problems about 3 weeks out, so I waited until that was under control
at about 4-5 weeks out.

RNYer here, back to work part time in just over a week, primarily out of
boredom. Everyone is different, LAP with a office job perhaps 2 weeks. Open
atr least a month usually, this all from my surgeon.

I went back to my computer desk job in two weeks. However, I found out that
I was worn out easily and within 3 days I asked to work half days until
healed. This ended up lasting about another two weeks. I was feeling
fantastic after 6 weeks and could have done anything.

I went back to work one week to the day after surgery. I do have an office
job and didn't have any complications. I would have taken longer but I
needed the money. It all worked out, there was one day I had to leave early
because I drank some milk (big mistake, lol)!!!

I had Lap RNY - I was out two weeks, could have gone back at one week, but
my son and his family came into town, so I stayed out another week to visit
with them! (tee hee) No problems what-so-ever! and loving every minute of
it!! Danette
