Question:
Has anyone had blue cross pers choice cover TT?

I need a tummy tuck and breast lift at the very least but I don't think I can afford it without insurance help. I live in the Monterey California area if anyone knows of some good plastic surgeons.    — kelly M. (posted on May 23, 2004)

Hi, I have BC/BS personal choice and they DID NOT cover my tt. I wanted a LBL, submitted approval for tt, and would pay difference, and they denied me as cosemetic. They said that if I have 3-6 mos of documentated proof of rashes I could appeal, but, I did not and wasn't gonna fake it. So, I self payed. Heather Open RNY 8-15-02, LBL 5-11-04 305/175/178

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Personal Choice and I had a hernia repair/abdominal pannilecutomy sp? on 5/5/04 and everything was paid for. My stomach looks great. Good luck in your process. 5/9/03 314/163 below goal

My experience with BC/BS in Texas is that they want to see 6 months of symptoms treated without surgery...that is the best bet to get it covered.
