Aloha!!!! There are certain vitamin deficiencies that will cause itching. If you are B2 deficient, itching can occur. If you want to see what the benefits and syptoms of deficiency for various vitamins are, here is a link to a website: <http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/health_advice/facts/vitamins_which.htm> Good luck! Protein is necessary to maintain the health of ALL your cells, ograns, bones, skin (& the extras, hair & nails). But other vites you'd need would be A, D & E in dry form (not oil), esp E. One assumes you're taking 2 multi-vites equal to Centrum that include the B-family? When are you next due for labs?

Hi! You didn't mention if you were getting hives or not. If you are breaking out in red blotches along with the itches it could be stress related or it could have something to do with your liver. I have to agree with the previous poster though, when are your next labs? My doc (a couple of years ago) wanted me to get my liver checked b/c of the amount of red blotches and itchy skin I was having - non-wls related (I am still pre-op). Luckily, it was only stress related (bad bad bad break up with fiance) and I got back to normal in about 3 months. Good luck to you!

I have the same problem. It was mostly happening when I got real hot and sweaty. So I asked my doc if I could take benadryl for it and she said that's not going to help very much. She said the reason it is happening is because as I'm losing weight my blood is able to flow better throughout my body and causing my veins and arteries to react. She said avoid hot baths and getting too hot and you should haven't that problem as much and that it will go away once your body gets more adjusted to it. But definitly check all areas because it very may well be the vitamins. Good luck and hope your itching quits soon! :)
