Question:
What is the tasteless protein supplement you add to your food?
I am getting tired of drinking protein shakes and remember people talking about a tasteless protein powder they add to food. What is it and where can I find it? Are there different ones and if so what's the difference in them? — sheltie (posted on September 2, 2002)

I think you're referring to ProCel and UpCalD. There are other
pharmacuetical grade proteins, but this one dissolves the best. some
others that might work are the Sci Fit Plain and Designer Natural. But
they have a little more "body" to them.

You can check out all kinds of protein supplements, vitamins, etc. at
Vitalady.com. You can order the ProCel and UpCalID there, too. They have
comparisons of the supplements, and you can order samples, too.

hiya
i don't know if you can cook with the ones listed in the previous two posts
but i use Jarrows Iso Rich Soy Protein Powder and you CAN cook with it. it
dissolves nicely and has NO taste! woohoo
for 2 tbls= 25g protein, 110 calories, no fat, no sugar, no carbs
there is no local retailer near me so i order it online from:
www.vitamintrader.com and it is $24 (with s&h) for a 2# container which
lasts about 2 months.
i add it to soups, casseroles, stir fry...pretty much everything! i also
add 2tbls to my morning coffee and i can't start my day without it. in the
coffee it tends to be a little clumpy but i put it in the cup first, add
coffee then vitamite instead of milk. i then just keep the spoon in and
stir it well, then stir before each sip. it took me about 3 days to get
used to it but just the fact of no taste really won me over.
i also have several lists of recipes that i added the protein powder to,
email me if you are interested.
