Question:
Is there anything that can be done to help raise the chances of a quick weightloss?
I understand that everyone loses weight at a different rate, but is there any hints to how you can lose weight and tone up quickly? Certain foods, exercises, etc.? — Janet C. (posted on October 13, 2001)

Well Janet, I suggest you follow your doctor's "orders" to the
"T". Make sure you get your protein and water in. Those are THE
most important things to get in daily along with your vitamin supps.
Exercise will definately help you lose faster and tone up. Just don't over
do it. Start out slow and gradually increase the amount you do. Make sure
your food choices are GOOD food choices, low in fat etc.....you have to
remember that everyone loses at a different rate and don't be alarmed when
some weeks you don't lose at all. Those weeks may be the weeks that you
lose inches. Inches do not show up on the scale. Everyone will hit a
plateau(s). When you lose alot of weight rapidly, your body will go into
starvation mode. It will hold on to whatever it can. By increasing your
food intake, slightly, it will begin to shed the weight again. So don't
panic when you experience a plateau. It is only temporary. I also suggest
attending a support group. They are fun and you get to talk and ask
questions directly, face to face, with people who are going thru exactly
what you are or will be going thru. Hope this helps.....feel free to email
me....

Water, water, water, water..... You can help your wt loss with 60g OR MORE
of protein supps, no milk, no sugar, no grazing, no drinking with meals, 6
teeny tiny meals (1 oz), and the proper vites for your surgery. As long as
your body feels utterly nourished & satisfied, it will relax and let
the wt go. Let it think you are starving and it'll clamp down onto every
pound.
