Question:
I have heard so much about liquid Diet and a Puree diet what does that mean?

I am still pre-op and have heard so many people talking about a liquid diet which I can pretty much fiqure out but what is a puree diet mean?    — Jennifer L. (posted on June 2, 2001)

The easy answer is that puree is "baby food." All large particles, seeds, rough spots, etc. have been strained out or completely eliminated, so that the food is a smooth paste, or like whipped potatoes, so your stomach muscles won't have to work hard to mush the food into a digestible form.
