Question:
Where can I find a good book or website to help me count my calorie intake?
I don't eat alot but am afraid of taking in to many calories per day and nnot being able to burn them off at the gym. Where can I get good information on how many calories in different foods? — Tracy C. (posted on May 22, 2001)

Go to Dietwatch.com The site allows you to enter you daily eatings in and
it will calculate everything for you. Fats/carbs/protiens etc. The
database of food listings is hugs and if you find you eat something thats
not listed you can manually enter the info and it will remember. I entered
a typical day (I am pre-op) and egads I had a high everything day. Great
site.....

Tracy- I like www.foodcount.com. It's really simple to use and keeps track
of your food daily for up to a year. A lot of people like dietwach, but
I've found it doesn't always work on my computer. Foodcount gives you all
the nutritional info for your whole day, how much you've taken in of
EVERYTHING, from protein to calories to sugar to carbs to B-12. I use it
every day, it's really helped me alot.

I have an absolutely amazing little book that costs $7.50 and gives calorie
counts, fat, etc. It is called The Complete Nutrition Counter by Lynn
Sonberg. I bought it at Barnes & Noble. Good luck. I love my book!
