Question:
Has anyone had a good experience with ham?

I am now 17 days post-op and was told to eat fish and chicken (Doc said) but I was wondering about Ham? We are having a ham diner tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone has tired it and how it sat with them ... thanks    — Heather C. (posted on March 17, 2001)

Hi Heather, I am 7 weeks post op. I have no problems with ham. I dont believe I actually tried it till I was about 6 weeks out. But, I do just fine with it. It chews up very well :) . Good luck

I eat ham all the time. I really like it with my scrambled egg in the morning. BUT, I never would have tried it at only 17 or 18 days post op.

I am four weeks post-op and have no problem with ham. I eat it for breakfast and just chew chew chew! i can eat about 2 0z.

Thank you everyone that has answered me... yes I tried about 1 ounce of ham and 1 ounce of potato salad and it was wonderful. I had no problem,no pain and no dumping. Thank you all.
