PLEASE! Anyone considering the mini gastric bypass read
this site. The statements of the surgeons speak for themselves. Thanks,
Kris!

Kris, thanks for the information. I'm assuming that the surgeon they are
alluding to on this site is Rutledge out of NC. My surgeon had a lot to
say about this procedure when I asked him about it. Basically, he called
it malpractice. Happy Rutledge patients, PLEASE do not email me. I'm just
repeating what my surgeon said, that's all. Once again, please do as much
research as possible before making a life changing decision.

Happy New Year!
I would like the citation for this information. If it came from Rutledge,
then it doesnt mean squat. If it came from a BARIATRIC surgeon who knows
his stuff, then I might be convinced. To say that there have been 'no
esophagitis' cases as a result of this surgery... is just pure bunk. Check
out http://www.fourlane.com/mgb for some disturbing information and pics.
Hope your New Year is great.

The information is from Rutledge and the poster did some editing. From
Rutledge's site you'll read, "In this series of 695 Mini-Gastric
Bypass patients, there were no cases of esophagitis." In other words,
of the 695 patients he chose to use for this study, at only 48 months at
the longest post op, there were no cases of esophagitis. He can not claim
that there have been no cases...just in that carefully selected group there
were none. No surprise there, right?

As the saying goes, there are 3 types of lies...lies, damn lies
and statistics!!

Dear ANON:
If you will look at the original question, then you and everyone else will
see that I directed everyone to http://www.mini-gastricbypass.com/ which
is a compilation of MEDICAL opinions from BARIATRIC surgeons and not the
one person you are talking about. However, if you do want to see some
disturbing info from a patients side, I would highly recommend going to the
fourlane site. Read the whole thing before you attack..k? Have a
wonderful day.
