Question:
Water...
Hi all. I drink 80 plus ounces of water per day. I consume the majority of the water in about 4 hours, usually between 6pm to 10pm. My question is this: Is there any data out there suggesting that it is better to drink water over the course of a day or in a couple of hours? — Earl Z. (posted on March 7, 2004)

I don't know evidence either way, but you're going to pee out the excess.
So during the day, you may be needing water?

Hi, Earl. I was told to sip water every 15 min throughout the day, with
the exception of 1/2 hr before and after meals. I have trouble getting in
64 oz in a day and find it especially difficult not to drink after eating.
Good luck.

I have 2 points ... the first is that you would probably get the best
results from the water being drank through out the day. My surgeon
explained to me that the rapid weight loss releases excess toxins into the
body and the water is the cleansing mechanism that we need. My second
point is ... how do you sleep without getting up 6 times a night to use the
bathroom. I always try to get my 2 liters a day down while I am working so
I can rest at night. I drink a 16 oz glass before work and usually about
that after work but I get 2 liters while at work. Good luck.
