For the first 2 months, I was hungry alot. I would eat a saltine with some
type of soft cheese on it. The good news was 1 or 2 filled me up. ALso I
used yogurt when I was hungry and drank even more water. Now 8 months
post op I am never hunry and have to remind myself to eat.

The first few weeks and months, I was starving, but I think it was more
head hunger and from watching all those food commercials while I was
recooperating! Granted, your tummy does need some food, so that could be
the pains, so eat if you feel it. You're allowed to eat- or atleast drink-
so let yourself have those pureed foods and protein drinks! In a few weeks,
you will probably not feel hunger. Usually the first 6 months, people have
to force themselves to eat, I eventually got like that, then ofcourse
gained hunger again. (i'm now 1 year post-op). And your tummy may make
noises alot for a while, whether you are really hungry or not, ourr tummies
are getting used to everything being switched around! Goodluck to you!

Yes, I hear Ya! When I told my doctor this, they said that I need to drink
more. If you are always hungry, your body is actually crying for more
water! I have been having trouble getting the fluids in so I have just
started this and it has helped getting more water in. Actually Iam a big
Crystal Light drinker and they said that is fine.

It will go away. I was one of the very hungry early on post ops and my
hunger is non-existent since week 5 or 6.
