Question:
A revision and a tummy tuck at the same time

I had a rny done 2 and a half years ago and have to have a revision done due to stretching of my pouch. i have aetna and was wondering if anyone knew if a tt would be covered with the revision.. has anyone had this done? thanks, nicole    — nicole D. (posted on September 11, 2002)

Nicole, I had AETNA PPO when I had my revision to transection last year. They covered the original rny and the repair of the staple line too. Jill, my surgeon's nurse, called the health nurse at Aetna and they approved it right on the phone. This was on Friday and I had the revision (or repair job) done on Tuesday the next week.
