Try getting creative with your protein drinks. They all seem to have an
after taste, so try blending sugar free jello to get a new flavor. I have a
chocolate one that I added a banana to and a couple of packets of Splenda
and blended it with lots of ice. It tasted like a chocolate banana malt.
You can also add your protein drink mix to sugar free pudding and make it
thin enough to pour off a spoon. Yumm! The key is to "Be
Creative."

Have you tried an unflavored/unsweetened powder? You can mix it with
anything including soup and cream of wheat. The one I used was MLO Milk
& Egg Protein. Zero Carb Isopure is like koolaid. And some of the
ready-to-drink ones aren't bad. I have listed a few I used on my profile.
Even if you don't like it, keep at it. You only have to be on liquids for a
little while!

have you tried no sugar added carnation instant breakfast? My first 2 weeks
post-op I couldn't handle it for some reason, but now I can. The powder
itself only has 4 grams of protein, but i use SKIM PLUS milk, which has 11
grams of protein per cup, (regular milk has 8) and together it has 15 grams
of protein per drink and its yummy. I cant stand any of the drinks either!
goodluck!

I am almost three weeks post-op. You might want to try procel which is a
near tasteless powder. You can order a sample from vitalady. After trying
numerous protein samples that all made me gag, I found a protein powder
that is great called Whey delicious. I mix it with OJ a few strawberries
and it is great. It can be found at proteinishealthy.com. Good luck.

Hi Mary, I am 7 months post-op and just last week tried the Challenge
Liquid Protein. I bought it at GNC. It is wild cherry flavor and you are
to mix 3 T. with a little water. Instead, I mix it will Kool-Aid sweetened
with Splenda or Ice Botanicals. The strong flavors of those two blend well
and it tastes good. Since I always get my liquids in, it was an easy way
to up the protein also. I found at six months out I was getting lazier
about getting in my 80 - 100 grams of protein and this has been a huge
help.

This was formerly the Protein Shakes Addict and Perverts, but I think the
old database is still accessible til I get a new one

To access the Protein Recipe Database:

Try this site for ideas on making your proteins palatable. EVeryone has a
fave of something, so even the grossest stuff caan be made tasty if you
find one of its fans.

Have you tried Carbolite. Their French Vanila almost makes you feel guilty,
it is so good. It is the only one I can stand.
