Question:
Egg whites and jello for protein, at the nurrsing home that I worked at used to make

I used to work at a nursing home that made a special jello for pt. that were low in protein. They took boiled egg whites and ground them up very very fine ad folded them into jello as you would fruit, you couldbarely see or taste the egg whites, but the protein was there. i hope this might help someone, I guess you could add fruit aaalso if you could tolerate it. Hey that sounds great! I wonder how many grams of protein that would be, not sure how many in egg whites or jello. Still got lots of homework to do!!! :o) Renee

They also sell powdered egg whites now. I'm assuming Atkin's and WLS and all the other protein touting diets have spawned a need for this.

I also work in a nursing home and we have sugar-free high protein drinks for the residents who are diabetic. Some of them are called forta shakes. Don't know if that helps anyone but, I thought it was a good way to get in protein.
