Question:
What about having a TT before getting pregnant?

Hi: Anyone out there no if it is okay to have my TT first before getting pregnant? I desperatly need to have this excess skin removed (lost approx 183 lbs!) but I also want to try to get pregnant Are there any MEDICAL reasons why this would not be a good idea? I don't care so much that I wouldn't have a totally flat tummy (I just want the hanging skin removed). Also, anyone have a TT and then get pregnant...what did your skin look like afterward, and how long after the TT did you get pregnant? Thanks a bunch    — Karen A. (posted on May 13, 2002)

I asked my surgeon prior to surgery this same question. His response was that I would want to have the TT or whatever else I needed before getting pregnant again. Now that time has passed, I agree with him. Though I ACHE to have another child, I will wait until after the reconstruction (which is still a ways away). Good luck.
