Question:
My husband has Providence Ins through his employer.
I'm thinking of switching to his insurance in January but I don't want to unless I know that they will cover certain reconstructive procedures that I may need, like abdominalplasty (sp?) thighplasty, basically a body lift. They do not want to give me that info since I am not a member at this time. Does anyone know if these surgeries are covered if medically necessary? — jenn2002 (posted on May 10, 2002)

Have your husband get a copy of his policy from his employer. This
information should be included in the exclusions sections just like WLS.
Also, if you can afford it, sometimes if you have both policies in effect,
you can get everything paid for, including deductibles and copays, even if
only one policy approves the procedure.
