Question:
Does any one know of prescribed vitamins?
I have very good medical benefits, and prescription coverage and I was wondering if there were any water soluable vitamins that the Dr. could prescribe, so my innsurance could pay? Usually viamins are not covered, but maybe with this type of surgery, they could be. — peaceangel58 (posted on July 11, 2000)

Good irons for us are Chromagen Forte (150mg elemental iron) and Trinsicon
(110mg elemental iron) and both contain Vit C and the intrinsic factor. A
good multi-vite is Vicon Forte. It's a good basic vite for RNY, but you'll
need to add iron with C and, in another part of the day, add calcium with
D. If you are very distal, you'll also need to add dry form A, D & E,
available at health food stores. The multis are not designed for RNY, so we
need to beef up the areas that are nutritionally short FOR US, as well as
covering the broad spectrum of elements needed for good health.

My insurance pays for the presciption Trinsicon. (Hope I spelled it right.)
The multi-vitamins are over the counter so I pay for them.
