Question:
Has anyone tried.... turkey or chicken italian sausage
turkey or chicken Italian sausage? This was one of my favorite low fat/smart choices before surgery and I'm hoping that I can work it back in to my diet. I am 3 months post-op. Thanks. — Kathy *. (posted on March 11, 2004)

I eat the chicken sausages all the time. I think I started eating them
about 4 months after surgery. They sit fine, have alot of protein and hardly
no carbs. I really like them.

I used to eat these all the time early post-op. I usually peeled off the
skin to make them easier to chew up, then heated them up with some low carb
marinara sauce. Delicious! Enjoy! XOOX Jen

I LOVE Jenny-O's turkey Keilbasa...I simmer it in low-sugar bbq sauce after
I peel the outer casing off of it. The casings have bothered me since I
had surgery...but the sausage itself doesn't at all.

I think it is a good food to eat, but take small pieces and chew well you
will be lucky if you can eat 1 entire link at 3 months (I cannot) but I do
enjoy it!
