Question:
Hi everybody. I found a low fat version of chex mix on the chex website tonight!
It's at http://www.chex.com. Just look under recipes. It doesen't look like something TOO bad for us -- as long as its only once in a great while and only a handful, in case we get those cravings (I know I do!). — Jackie D. (posted on August 19, 2003)

Low fat is less of a concern than low carbs. Like you said, once in a
great while it's fine but it still is a major amount of carbs. Carb
Solutions bars taste pretty darn good so you might try that. !/2 a bar
probably has the same amount of calories, less carbs and lots of protein.

Please watch out when a something screams "low fat". A lot of
the time companys add more sugar to make low/no fat stuff taste better. Be
sure to read the labels. Other wise it sounds good for just a small snack
once in a while. Take care. ~Sidney~

I know you guys, and thanks for the input. It's always appreciated. I'm an
avid label reader these days and always check out the contents of anything
I make or eat. Being sick to my stomach is NOT FUN. It's why my "wanna
go wild" snack is fruit. But I figure if it someones birthday and they
wanna be able to have a nibble of something like the rest of their friends,
this might not be a bad alternative. I could be wrong.
As of August 11th I've lost 88 pounds and I don't plan on ruining my weight
loss with poor choices. Having people on my side like you guys ALWAYS helps
:-)
