Question:
I have this small roll of skin that starts at the side of my hips...
it starts at the side of my hips, and turns into this bag of hanging skin over my pubic bone. It makes it hard to go down sizes, wear panties, etc. The panties either go over, or under the roll... Does anyone else have one of these? IF SO-what kind of panties do you wear to alleviate the problem? Do you have problems with your jeans too? Can plastic surgery help? I have 40 lbs to go, and while I didn't want plastic surgery, I will consider it after I have lost all my weight...Any info would be so greatly appreciated!!Ann 11-25-02 320/201 — Ann H. Hi Ann- Boy, do I know what you are talking about!! When you do wear
panties, anything other than "grannypanties" cuts into the roll
and shows through your clothes! I found some that work very well for me,
they are expensive, but they are made of a lightly controlling fabric that
smoothes everything out nicely. I have a new pair here, and will pass along
the info. From Victoria's Secret- High Leg brief regular price $12 each, I
got 3 pair for $24- (I never would have paid that much before surgery- But
these work so well, I went back and got more!) They are 96% nylon and
4%lycra. Best of all, they do the job and still look sexy!
The good news for you is that the panni (or apron) will continue to
decrease in size, and even as the weight loss has slowed down for me, that
area is still shrinking. I will never be a supermodel- but it already looks
far better than I thought it could. Hey- Our dates and stats are similar!
Good Luck to you- Leslie Open 11/21/02 297/180.0/150

whatever you do don't wear anything silkie. cotton is the best when it
comes to keeping panties in place. i really like hane her way hicut legs. i
think i get the sport ones because they have alittle more spandex to hold
you in.

I like the Just My Size stretch cotton. They are available from Walmart.

If it is a small roll at the hips and everything else seems to be okay, you
may want to consider liposuction. You may just have a fatty deposit right
there. If you're still losing, you may want to wait until you are
stabilized. Just a suggestion.

well, since no one else has mentioned them, i wear flexees control thongs.
i have the same sort of distribution of fat, and have found that these
'squish' the fat into a more aesthetically pleasing package. and, i get to
wear thongs, as well.... i've bought them at macy's and several other large
department store lingerie departments.
