Question:
Any suggestions to help boost weight loss early on?
Hey all! I will be 4 wks out from BPD on Monday the 21st. I am trying to not let myself get down about this, but I have only lost 18lbs in this time frame. I've been doing a great job of getting in my water and my prenatal vitamins but within the past week I have not been very hungry. I know that the greatest weight loss is within the first six months, but at 18 lbs a month, I don't feel like I will ever get where I want to. As far as diet goes, I can have protein, complex carbs (20-25 grams a day), no sugar, no milk, veggies or fruit. I will not get clearance to work out until eight weeks. Any suggestions would be wonderful! — Melissa M. (posted on July 16, 2003)

PROTEIN, WATER, EXERCISE. I think most people under estimate the need for,
and value of, all three. Protein, no less than 60g. Water no less than
64oz, but 80-100 would be even better. Exercise, no less than 40 minutes,
3 days a week, but 5 days might speed things up a bit. Start where you are
at (with all three), set small goals, and before you know it, it will all
become part of your routine. Good luck!
