Question:
Upper Body and Lower Body reconstructive surgery
Anyone out there who has had both upper body, and lower body reconstructive surgery - what do they start with first? Upper or lower? Or is it the patient's preference? Can they work on the thighs at the same time as a complete tummy tuck (don't remember the word)? What's the order of things? — Cathy S. (posted on May 9, 2003)

Please go to the AMOS library under 'plastic surgery' for several related
posts. Also, you can read my profile as I had both. Most doc's will start
with what insurance will pay for, then work on the next most important
thing. I had my belly and boobs done first, then my legs as they were the
grossest and I wanted to be able to care for my legs, using my arms. I had
my arms done last, which turned out to be a cakewalk after the trouble with
my legs and belly. The next step will be a facelift to get rid of my
turkey neck...Good Luck to you!

I think part of it is preference. I had my arms and tummy done first. I
am having my hips, thighs, and butt done second, and my breasts done last
because I want to make sure my tummy and arms are settled before I go
trying to lift the puppies up =) Good Luck!
