Question:
HAS ANYONE HAD MORE THAN ONE PLASTIC SURGERY PROCEDURE DONE AT ONCE
I am interested in hearing from other who have or know of someone who has had more than one Plastic surgery procedure at once. ( such as tummy tuck and arms or thigs, or any procedures combined) I am considering having three procudures at once but would like to hear of others experiences. Thanks Terri in KY — Terri A. Terri, I had a tummy tuck, breast lift & augmenation and did fine. I
had a circumfrential thigh lift and developed complications (seromas and
lymphatic drainage). I wanted to have three procedures done at once, but
no doctor would do them. They especially would not do my arms and legs
together. I'd be interested in knowing what procedures you plan on
combining.

I had a TT done combined with lipo (my TT was very extensive though) and it
took my very experienced surgeon over 6 hours. I did have the choice of
doing my thigh lift with the TT instead. And I know my doc does breast and
TT's together all the time. He also does arms & breast lifts at the
same time. One point of consideration would be the magnitude of the
surgeries, your health, as well as the surgeons comfort level. Although I
totally understand wanting to have everything done at one time and just
getting it over and done with, you might want to realistically having it
done in 2 different procedures.

I had my tummy tuck and breast reduction done at the same time. I asked my
surgeon about doing my arms at the same time but he declined. He felt that
the length of time required for the 3 combined procedures would be too
tiring for him and risky for me (the anesthesia).

I just had TT lipo thigh lift (belt lipodectomy <sp?>) My plastic
surgeon would not do any more work on me at one time. In fact he had
another plastic surgeon (not a resident) assist him to half the time ime
the OR. 10 days latter and boy am I sore, but I am VERY happy with the
results. Good Lux

Had extended tummy tuck, outer thigh lift, butt lift and breast lift done
at once. Worked out great!

Pending insurance approval, I am scheduled for an extended abdominoplasty
(TT) and a brachioplasty (batwing removal from arms) on Monday, June 30th.
My second phase of surgeries at a later date will be breast lift with
slight reduction and liposuction of the upper back, along with an inner
thigh lift w/liposuction. From what I've read and heard from others, it is
best to do the TT first and separate from the breasts. The TT will pull
down, the breasts will pull up. You don't want that feeling at the same
time and you want some support for your body in the front. If you have too
much major work done on the front, your back will have to compensate and
you'll be miserable! Best wishes to you! - Anna LAP RNY 7/3/02 -123lbs.

I had an anchor-incision panniculectomy and a brachioplasty (armlift) done
during the same surgical experience. The operating time for the combined
procedures was five hours. This was the most "comfortable"
surgery I ever had, including my lap RNY. I was up and walking in my room
the same afternoon and ready for discharge from the hospital the next
morning. Best wishes!
