Question:
Are soy proteins complete proteins?
Remember being taught that legumes such as beans needed to be eaten with grains to form a whole protein food? I wonder as I eat my soy proteins whether I am getting the benefit of whole proteins. Does it even make a difference? I love lentils and while they are high in protein, I wonder if I need to have them with bread to get the full benefit from them. I'm not a vegetarian but I eat next to no red meat and prefer the soy based proteins; vegeburgers, morning star products, tofu, etc. — peggy B. (posted on May 22, 2002)
