Question:
7 weeks out... When does the nausea feeling pass?

Hey everyone, I am about 7.5 weeks out. I have been trying some new foods. Some are chili, nachos from Taco Bell, and baked beans from a BBQ restaurant here. I am doing good on new things I try. But my question is, sometimes I have like a weird feeling in my stomach. It's not like I'm fully nasueated, but it's like a "near nasuea" before and after I eat. Does this pass? Eventually will I be able to eat without always feeling so yucky? I have only gotten very sick twice, and I think I overate/ate too fast both times. Thanks!    — Craig A. The Chili and beans are GREAT protein choices, The nachos are marginal but the cheese on them is good. Now I eat a few nacho chips with cheese from time to time. Your making basically good choices, just dont eat a lot of the nacho chips.....

Sorry to complete my post some foods bothered me early on with sweating, and nausea that went away. I appear to tolerate ANYTHING, but only small meals. A bit of fat isnt all bad if your trying to avoid gallblader problems. I intentionaly eat regular cheese for this reason. Out nearly 5 months now I dont get that ill feeling unless I eat too much or too fast.

I am also 7 weeks post-op. I get the same "near nausea" feeling if I eat too fast, don't chew good, or take one bite more than I should.

Craig, I know your pain!!! I've had the nausea feeling since week 2. The doctor gave me phenergan for it. I was also told to eat crackers as it cuts down on the nausea. That has helped some. I've done the Taco Bell thing, but I get a soft taco and haven't had any problem with it. The chips were another story. I felt fine while eating them, then BOOM was nauseated for 2 hours!! If you still have the nausea feeling, tell your doctor and he can prescribe phenergan. It does help quickly. I try not to take it very often, but when I feel REALLY bad, it calms my stomach in about 15 minutes.

Umm...well. chili, and baked beans are not bad choices by the way. Maybe nachos are, but on occasion, I am sure we have all made bad choices. It would help if we would post only helpful advice, and not attacks.
